SYNOPSIS

This is a light-hearted look at the way menopause affects four very different women and the men who love them. Four women and one man come together in a menopause support group looking for comfort, answers and a cure as they careen through this passage of life. The women go back and forth between hormones and herbs with excursions into off-beat 'cures with sweat bags and voodoo ceremonies. Other characters include a smug, condescending doctor whose comments are taken directly from medical journals i.e. 'A menopausal woman's body can be described in one word...decay.' And SKIP, a country/western singer who parades around in outlandish costumes in an attempt to jump start his wife's libido. Ultimately, the play offers no answers in dealing with this change of life. But, both the women and men find comfort, confidence and relief through their friendship and laughter.
